Product Description At 3-1/2 quart capacity, this is a most versatile saucepan. It's also incredibly easy to use and own. Have you ever found yourself in that awkward position of straining cooked food - while cooking? This saucepan incorporates a unique design that integrates a built-in strainer to reduce the fuss and mess of meal preparation. The lid, made of see-through, break resistant glass, has a deep rim with optional straining holes. To strain, line the holes up with the pan's pour spouts and strain with ease. For covered cooking, rotate the lid to close the holes and moisture will stay inside the pan. To pour, remove the lid and use the pour spouts that are built into the pan body. Regardless of these convenient features, you've got a pan made of even heating hard anodized for great cooking performance plus a rugged nonstick surface inside and out for stress-free cleaning.

anolon pan December 22, 2008 It is a ok product. Hoping it would be heavier for anolon. For the price I paid onsale, it will serve my purpose but wouldn't recommend for a lot of cooking everyday.
Anolon straining sauce pot December 20, 2008 This pot was for a gift, bought because my own is my very favorite cooking pan. It is super easy to clean, handles a good volume of food over a small burner (fits well over the smallest burner on my glass cooktop stove,) cooks evenly, and has a glass lid to check contents. Some reviewers said they received pots with damaged lids so I was slightly leary since this was to be a gift. My pot and lid arrived in perfect condition! I appreciated the suggestion of one reviewer who said he places the pot against the corner of the sink when straining contents. Why didn't I think of that?! It works perfectly and does relieve the weight of the pan.
Great Pan! December 13, 2008 I ordered this pan on a special ad from Macy's for an unbelievably low price, less than a 1/4 of its list price. Macy's had the manufacturer send it direct. It arrived within a week in excellent condition. I have used it almost daily since getting it and love it! It is a nice, sturdy pot, cleans easily and is a perfect size for many uses. I find no flaws and have no complaints about it. Tonight I made some fudge in it and it performed perfectly. Made the task easy and no problem with worrying about burning the sugar mixture. A great addition to any cook's kitchen, I'd say.
I think that I have truly found the pot that I have always been looking for. It's strong , hard to burn in and beautiful. December 6, 2008 I think that I have truly found the pot that I have always been looking for. It's strong , hard to burn in and beautiful.
Good pot, but handle could be better designed November 26, 2008 I've had this pot for about 2 months now and for the most part I've found it be be an excellent pot. It's easy to clean and it looks nice. I bought this pot in part because of the straining lid, but I haven't used that function more than a handful of times since I often avoid using it so that I have one less lid to wash.
My one complaint is that the insulating grip is flush with the (hot) metal part of the handle closest to the pot. Because of this, there's a likelihood for skin-metal contact, especially since this pot can get a bit heavy and thus encourages a closer grip distance; I've scorched my index finger a couple of times while grappling with the handle. If it weren't for this design flaw, I'd be perfectly happy with this pot.
