The purple isn't that dark....I was disappointed that it was lighter in color. I had it for about two weeks and I was out with friends and hit my hand on the able and the ring shattered.

This was a great buy for the price. Though some of these rings do not hold up well, maybe jade is stronger than other semi precious stones. This is so pretty I have been wearing it just about every day and it is holding up just fine so far. I tihnk it would make a great, inexpensive gift for someone, where you aren't just giving a piece of plastic or glass. It came in a beautiful little gift box, too. I did not find, like another reviewer, that I had to buy this ring 1/2 size larger than usual.

MY RING WAS VERY LIGHT IN PURPLE LOOKED A LOT LIKE MY PINK AGATE RING SO IT IS HARD TO TELL THE TWO APART AND IF I DIDN'T KNOW THAT IS WAS LIGHT PURPLE YOU COULD MISTAKE IF FOR MY PINK RING. NICE PRODUCT ARRIVED VERY QUICKLY. WISH MINE WAS A LITTLE DARKER THEN IT IS.

Purple Jade Ring April 28, 2008
This is a very pretty ring. Mine was light purple with some imperfections in it that makes it clear it is a real mineral ring, not resin or something like that. I like that about it. Like the other reviewers suggest, a half size larger is a good idea.
The gift box is very nice too.
