The mattress genie is a life saver. My mom was getting out of the hospital and we needed a product that would lift the mattress so she could get out of bed easier, plus have the comfort of sitting up at different positions. It worked wonderfully and I have recommended this product to many people. Amazon had the best price for this product.
Works Fine for back Pain, and Travels Well December 8, 2008

I have chronic lower back pain (for about 18 years now), and can not sleep on a flat mattress. I found I could sleep only in a recliner. So I decided to try this product on a Queen sized Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress, and it has worked great for me. I do sleep on the mattress by myself (in the middle), and have the Mattress Genie inflated to nearly max, and I also have a cushion under my knees. The mattress does not slide around at all, and with this setup I sleep very well.
For traveling, I find that this product is easy to pack, and it's not heavy at all. The compressor is not very large, and the inflatable part deflates and folds neatly. I find it fairly easy to install in any hotel bed. Since I always request queen size beds, it fits perfectly. And the maid service never disturbs the installed Mattress Genie.
Overall, I think it's a good product. It works well for me, I can take it with me when I travel, and if it breaks, it's cheap to replace.

Thanks to all the predecessors who posted reviews on this and other sites. Because of either gastrix reflux or sinus issues, I frequently awoke vomiting phlegm. Raising the bed on wood blocks didn't work; trying to sleep on a reading or other pillows didn't work -- this works! I have no headboard or footboard and it doesn't seem to be a problem. It also makes changing the sheets easier!

My 83 year old mother has scoliosis of the lower back and is in chronic pain from it. She was having to sit up in bed to get any kind of sleep but she wasn't getting a good night's sleep. I started looking into adjustable beds for her and was shocked at the price. As I Googled adjustable beds up came the web site for Mattress Genie. I showed it to my mom and she was more than happy to try it. Since she recently moved into an assisted living place close to me she had downsized from a double bed to a twin bed. She told me the day after it came and I had set it up she slept all night long. She loves it! It's such a simple product to set up and now she's sleeping so much better. Thank you Mattress Genie for designing such a wonderful product.

This has been a lifesaver after surgery. The best thing to help going to sleep after surgery.
