Amazon.com Product Description Designed for active, outdoor lifestyles--as well as the rigors of harsh urban landscapes--the full-sized Timex T41731 Expedition stainless steel men's watch adds a stylish yet rugged complement to your everyday wear. It also provides an easy set alarm feature with a vibrating alert to keep you on-time for all your appointments. The large silver stainless steel watch case is topped by a silver, coin-edged bezel with engraved compass headings that frames a cream dial background, full Arabic numeral display, luminous baton hands (with seconds hand), and a date display at 3 o'clock. It also offers a 4.5-year battery life, water resistance to 50 meters, and a genuine leather strap in brown with white contrast stitching. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

great watch, can barely feel the vibration December 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a 5 star watch for me as I use it as a meditation timer and it's handsome, tough, and easy to set. But for more worldly applications, I doubt you'll be able to feel the alarm going off as it's very subtle.
Timex Vibrating alarm December 22, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Timex Vibrating alarm I've had this watch for several weeks . So far it has performed very well and I am quite pleased. It will vibrate every 12 hours or on the hour at any point you set it. Setting the alarm or changing the time is very simple. The watch is somewhat sporty and rather nice looking. If it continues to function over time I'l bevery happy.
Great for tool for managing ADD December 11, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As an adult with Attention Deficit Disorder, I have found this watch to be a fantastic tool to help me manage my time. I set the alarm on this watch several times a day for little things. I use it to remind me that my lunch break is almost over, or that I have a meeting appointment in half an hour, or even that I put my lunch in the microwave for 5 minutes. Before I had this watch, I would regularly blow right by these sorts of events.
The fact that this watch uses an (nearly) inaudible alarm is very important. I would never use a beeping alarm because it would probably be very annoying for people around me, and frankly I don't want everyone to know about every little notification in my life.
It also helps that the alarm is so easy to set. Just turn the ring around the face, then pull a knob. No button-pushing or twisting tiny knobs. If you want the alarm to go off in less than an hour, it's even easier, because you can pull the knob two clicks out and it will ignore the position of the hour hand.
At first, I thought that it might be a problem for there to be only one alarm setting, but I have found that it works great for my purposes. I generally just need a gentle reminder for the next event in my day. I would be unlikely to do well at managing a list of alarms anyway.
I should note that it's not a good idea to rely on this watch to wake you up. Some people make that work, but it's not a strong vibration, and I find it uncomfortable to wear a watch while sleeping anyway.
Best Christmas present of the year! December 6, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this watch as a present for my dad for Christmas. It has all the gadgets that he loves and it still is a good size and looks great with the leather strap. I know he will love it!
Great for hearing impaired November 11, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been using a Timex vibrating alarm watch for several years now. I just purchased a second one. The first one served a long time. I switched to vibrating because I could not hear the high-frequency electonic alarms on most watches.
