This worked quite well. My dad (90) found it very easy to use. Only drawback - difficult to use on one's lap - better at a table or desk.

I bought this for my grandmother. She has macular degeneration. This is the only magnifier that I have found that you rest on the page. The others have to be held four inches above the page--not easy to do, and not good if you want to read in bed. Grandma likes this one best.
