5 out of 5 stars Well worth the price and works great.   December 21, 2008
This is an excellent product for the price, and helped us tremendously. We reviewed other products that were much more expensive, but this was the best product for the money. We notice immediate results from the 1st day we started using it, and 30 days later the bedwetting issue is gone. What a great product. Highly recommended to any parent facing this issue.

5 out of 5 stars It works!!!! We're so happy with this product   December 16, 2008

It's been a difficult year or two of trying to find ways to have my son to learn how to wake up and not wet the bed. Bought books, bought covers, went through the Internet, heard people tell us that some people learn later than others but just be patient, we would wake him up every several hours to go to the bathroom, sometimes even sleep with him, so we can wake up with him and take him to the bathroom but it was hard. In fact, we were spending so much on overnight pull-ups.

I bought this product because a) it was way cheaper than the others b) easy to use

This literally just goes under the shirt and hooks up to shirt collar area. There is a clip that goes on the underwear area and just the slight dampness the alarm will trigger.

So, the first week of using it, it was a learning process and getting our 5-year-old used to it. But by the second week, he's gone two weeks without bedwetting and he learned how to hold his pee. It's been a month now and he's learned to hold his pee, wakes up when the alarm gets a hint of dampness and goes to the bathroom himself. It literally has worked for us.

I wish we invested in this earlier (would have saved us quite a bit of money) but I'm very happy with this product! Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars As good as the $100 ones!   December 14, 2008
We've been using this alarm for 3 weeks now on our 6 yr old son who was fully saturated every am until now. We and our Ped. are pretty sure his bedwetting was a result of heavy sleeping.

We brought him into our room and the 1st week the alarm woke us up, not him. So we then woke him up with each alarm. By the third week he is now almost always waking himself with the alarm (something I had little faith in happening because he is an extremely heavy sleeper).

Now into week 4, I'd say he has 95% dry nights but is still dependent on the alarm.

The positives: He is SO, SO PROUD to not have to wear diapers anymore. The alarm will have paid for itself in 2 months of not having to buy diapers and decreased laundry expenses. Mom is estatic over not washing bedding and PJ's nearly everyday. The instructions were easy to follow. Set up was quick. We didn't need to read books or use the reward sticker chart included. The alarm is very accurate and sensitive to moisture. It has a loud alarm volume and strong vibration (settings allow you to choose either/or or both).

The negatives: It'll probably take an investment of one parent's time and interrupted sleep sacrifice to wake up the child when alarms go off until the child can wake himself up independently...that time seems to vary from several days to several weeks, depending on each child. There are no alarm volume or vibration intensity adjustment settings. Turning off the alarm is a 2 step process....but honestly this is probably good because you wouldn't want the child to just tap a button and fall back to sleep only to continue wetting.

Overall, this alarm is excellent! We came extremely close to purchasing a different one for over $100 as I was convinced we needed to spend that much for quality. I was wrong. This $40 alarm seems as effective as the more expensive ones. We'd recommend it to anyone dealing with bedwetting problems.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent alarm, but you may need to get up with your child!   December 12, 2008
The alarm works well. Its a good product and will work. But, if you have a younger child you may have to get up in the middle of the night with him to help him remove the alarm from his underwear and clip it onto new dry ones. Overall -- its a good way to end bedwetting. It trains the child not to wet at night. If you want a more independent alarm, try a remote one where the child needs to get up and walk across the room to turn off the alarm. Less parent involvement. That said, I think parent involvement is good for the whole non-bedwetting process. I used a book called Waking Up Dry along with the alarm and had success. I particularly like the visualization exercises in that book -- child lays down and imagines his bladder is telling his brain to wake up. It works. And kids think its fun. Overall good experience.

1 out of 5 stars Cheap and unreliable. Disappointed in quality.   December 5, 2008

Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. I have used bedwetting alarms in the past and had great sucess with another product. I know that alarms are the way to go when you have a bedwetter in the house. I tried to save money this time around and decided to give this one a try. I was a little nervous about the cheap price but thought I could save a few bucks.

Well, I knew when I received it that I probably made a mistake. It didn't even come with batteries, so we couldn't even use it until I went out to buy a pack. The battery door plastic broke after a week so we had to use tape to try to hold the batteries in. The magnet neck strap holds the alarm up so close to the face that it is uncomfortable. And, some nights it wouldn't go off when he wet. After my son refused to wear it at night, I listened to him, have purchased another brand, and since we switched, we are back on track - no thanks to this product. Lesson learned - You do get what you pay for!
