Product Description Better known as Vindaloo, this is a popular dish with Portuguese origins. Roughly translated from Portuguese, it means 'wine/vinegar and garlic'. Ever since Vasco da Gama discovered the sea route from Europe to India in 1524 AD, a large number of Portuguese have settled down in the picturesque Goa and the surrounding Konkan areas.Historically, this was cooked with pork, red wine and garlic, but then it received the Goan treatment with addition of spices, chilies and tamarind, giving it the distinctive spicy and tangy flavor. Please visit www.spicynothings.com for recipes and more.

The best Indian Sauces ever! October 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've tried every Indian sauce on the market and this is by far the best. Hands down. The difference is really in the ingredients. The others I've had have been like 50% filler - where is this all natural with tons of flavor. Great product - is on our menu at home several times a month. Highly recommended.
Best Gourmet Indian Sauces October 28, 2008 I was visiting the San Diego area for summer and got a chance to try all the 3 different sauces. I'm an Indian and a cook, and God, did they taste good!! These are the best Indian gourmet sauces I have ever tasted in the US, and believe me I've tried a LOT of products. I wish they start selling them in the Midwest too.

The real deal October 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was lucky enough to be on the taste testing team for this product and let me tell you, it's pretty darn tasty. I'm a huge Indian cuisine fan and I've tried a lot of the grocery store sauces and kits. Spicy Nothings only has 3 flavors right now, but all 3 are spot on! You owe it to yourself to try this sauce if you're into Indian food. They have some distribution at specialty stores, too. So if you want to dodge the shipping, look for it at a few places around San Diego:
Whole Foods (La Jolla) Jimbo's (Del Mar, Carlsbad, Escondido, 4S Ranch) Keil's (Clairemont Blvd) Windmill Farms (Del Cerro Blvd) Cardiff Seaside Market
